Some ISP's block the SMTP Relay causing outgoing messages to bounce. If you are still experiencing problems with outgoing mail after changing the port settings in the last example you may have to use you ISP's outgoing SMTP mail server settings. Please follow the instructions below.
1. Open Outlook 2007
2. In the Menu bar click on "Tools" and then "Account Settings"
3. Highlight the email account and click "Change"
4. In the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP)" box enter your ISP mail server name.
5. Under Outgoing Mail Server, select the "My server requires authentication" in check box.
6. Click "More Settings", click "Log on using", and then enter your ISP user name and password for the outgoing mail server.
7. Click on "Advanced" tab
8. Under Server Port Numbers, in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type 25 and then click OK.
9. Click Next
If you are still having problems, reboot your computer and try sending email again.
